It's been four years since my last post and I must say that things have changed profoundly since... For one, I am currently attending college at the University of California Santa Barbara.

Culture says one thing, but I want you to remember your freedom. YOU CHOOSE who and what you let into your head and heart.

Emotions are indicators, not decision-makers, since everyday’s an oscillation of happiness and loneliness, boredom and adrenaline rushes, ecstasy and exhaustion. What I offer moment by moment, including the good, the bad, and the ugly, is all I can share. This vulnerability is usually something humans run from, but I find that allowing myself the freedom to be flawed, honest, and sincere actually liberates those watching to do and feel the same. I’m thankful for my humble position. I’m forever the student, excitedly expectant of the lessons and experiences just ahead.

Only an illusion..

To regret and to dwell on past mistakes choices/events/could-have-should-haves only inhibits you from living to your fullest capability, limiting your ability to take advantage of the possible opportunities that might come your way. It blinds you. As Micheal Jordan said, limitations are merely an illusion.

Live freely. Spread your wings.

Listen. Reflect. Take Action.

Though it may be hard, sometimes you just go to open your eyes. its better to see the world knowing whats in front of you as opposed to walking blindly.

see yourself for what you are. dont stray away from that. Ive known you for ages. Theres still time for change, theres still time for you to be who you want to be. But it starts off with you making that first move.

Its not an over night change. But be patient. time will tell.

Although how do I tell you this when I know I am guilty as well for not making that first move for myself. How do i tell you?
I guess it starts with bringing change for myself first.

Stick to your passion.

“Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.” -Albert Einstein

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." -Ghandi

When Lost... find meaning in life.

Close your eyes...
Forget the outside world, influences, and everything that might pull you away from really feeling God. Focus on Him and how much He loves you. He's always there, listening and guiding you. Just because there are struggles, it does not mean He's not present. God will never give you a test in which you cannot pass. Just talk to him, surrender yourself to him and let His Spirit fill your soul. Be selfless, listen, and have faith in his love & it is then when you can be one with the Lord..

This is a great link to help strengthen your relationship with God & I agree with every word it says because I myself have experienced something very similar.

SNOW DAY!! Woohoo! :)

It's snowing right now! :)
This January weather is amazing! I love it because it hasn't rained or snowed in a long time and now that it has it feels like Christmas again & I liiiike it A LOT! :D
I really hope that it keeps on snowing all through the night so there would be no school tomorrow and Amy and I can make a gigantic supersized snowman again like we did last year! lol
The only disappointment that this weather brought was the cancellation of the Winter Assembly that API dance has worked our butts off to prepare for, all the shopping, stressing, and hard practice wasn't necessary. So anyways, today is Wednesday and the first day back for 2nd semester. The 4 day MLK weekend went by super fast! But it was well spent with family time at the mall and Partying @ Yoshi sushi and the mall for Kila's 18th Birthday! Craaazy! Then Tuesday we ended it on a good note, going to the Korean Tofu house :D The best asain place you can ever eat at. The only bad part about my weekend was when I slipped in my kitchen and my cheek/eye area slammed into the counter corner giving me a black eye =(

Today I've been thinking about how it really bugs me how people can be so hippocritical and rude, judging others so easily and obliviously. They put others down and don't even care. What really aggrivates me the most is that they know that they're being this way and they won't doing anything to change it, almost as if they're proud of it.
But then I began to realize that difficult people are very important,-they teach you tolerance and acceptance. If all was going your way all the time, you would become a spoiled child, wouldn't everyone? Difficult people are just one of the ways we learn to expand beyond our egos and accept other perspectives on life.
